AHHHH! I hope you all are coming off a lovely holiday break. No, not Cinco de Mayo the other national holiday, my birthday! Yes, I am now 21 (am I old now?). I had such an amazing time celebrating with my family and friends. Here’s a recap of what I did!
On my birthday eve, I was slaving over the books in the library when I got a call that my granny-grand came to surprise me for a short visit! That’s when I knew that this birthday was going to slap! After the semester I had, that visit came at such a crucial time so shoutout to her!
Later that evening, as the clock struck midnight, all of my friends surprised me with a Happy Birthday banner, confetti, and music to kick-off my weekend of celebrations!
The actual day of my birthday was everything I expected it to be, blissful. I woke up and felt so blessed to see another year. Of course, I started my day off with some praise and worship before heading to class. After a long day of class, professional obligations, and whatnot, my annual birthday nap was awarded! Yes, I napped on my birthday and I’m not ashamed. The night ended with an awesome birthday dinner with all of my friends at Bahama Breeze. It was a fabulous night of love, laughter, and fun! However, the highlight of my night was buying my first cocktail and being carded. AHHH!

Although my birthday had come and gone, I still wanted to celebrate and enjoy! So, Friday night, my friends and I bought some pizza headed before heading for a night on the town. Fun was had, laughs were shared, bacon was eaten (insider), and memories were made!
After an exhausting Friday night, we got up and headed to brunch in St. Augustine, FL. I found this super dope and aesthetically pleasing restaurant, Ice Plant. It’s above an old distillery and offers super variations of food, cocktails, and ice! The day concluded with a taste tour of San Sebastian’s Winery before going to do some shopping at the outlets.
I am so incredibly excited to have started this new year of life off with the people I love! I can’t wait to see what this chapter has in store. Cheers to 21 years of life, love, and health. Cheers to many more celebrations!
