GavÔn Owen

Happy Monday!

This month’s final spotlight is coming from Atlanta native, Gavon Owen. Gavon is a fashion blogger and wardrobe stylist that works hard to write blog posts for the modern day gentleman. His posts give detailed outlines for life and ways to be more fashion forward. Here’s my interview with him:

When did you start your platform?

“I launched my platform,, in June 2017 and it serves as the foundation for my brand or business. I discovered there were few men of color in the blogger space and it was an opportunity to incite change. Since I’ve been able to connect with my friends and subscribers with my blog, it has become a resource and a source of inspiration.”

Who or what inspires you?

“What inspires me are the entrepreneurs and small business owners of today. The men and women who are contributing to this world by showing the new generation it’s possible to make a living following your passion. They’ve also taught me not rely on someone else to determine my value or potential.”

What quote do you live by?

“I don’t do what I do for money, I do it because it matters.” -unknown

What is the soundtrack to your life?

“Three Little Birds by Bob Marley”

Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

“Living in Atlanta or New York working as a wardrobe stylist and fashion blogger. I also plan to grow my brand consulting company and continue to mentor young entrepreneurs in the art of organic brand building.”

What would you like potential consumers to know about you?

“My goal isn’t to impress anyone, it’s to make someone a better person. Also, I love chocolate covered pretzels and gummy bears.”
